Non, non, nonviolent what they tellin’ me
But a killer is what closin’ me, no mercy for they punk ass
They threw too many shots, not to bust back
I came too far to go back
Even though this song is considered an oldie and Big K.R.I.T. is actually promoting his new single Pay Attention feat. Rico Love, this joint right here is still one of my favorite tracks made by K.R.I.T.. Fan of hip-hop? Than you are a fan Big K.R.I.T. enough said.
The smash single La La La by Naughty Boy is personal fan favorite of mine. With smooth soothing vocals from Sam Smith and a groovy beat to jam to, its hard not to like this song. Close your eyes while listening to the song and I promise you will feel like you are at a Jazz night club, well at least thats how I felt. If you like the song, I definitely recommend listening to the album Hotel Cabana as well. Be sure to check out singles like Pardon Me, One Way, and Never Been The Same. Hotel Cabana features guest appearances from Sam Smith, Emeli Sandé, Bastille, and Tinie Tempah.
Check out this amazing video from the homie Lupe Fiasco. If you love powerful lyrics matched with thought provoking visuals, you will enjoy this music video like I did. Shout out to FNF Films for this piece, keep it up!
The Classic Thursday special this week is from the talented but often slept on artist Joe Budden. Honestly, if it wasn’t for a friend exposing me to more of his catalog with tracks like Truth or Truth and Cut From a Different Cloth feat. Ab-Soul, I would have been sleeping on a sleeping giant.
So check out this track called Pray For Me. The song is not for the faint of heart and will definitely make you think about your personal relationship with the big guy upstairs. Enjoy Good Music!
Snoop Lion’s latest single “No Guns Allowed” featuring Drake and Cori B. Shout out to Major Lazer and Ariel Rechtshaid for the awesome production. Be sure to check out Snoop’s REINCARNATED film in selected theaters.
Todays Throwback Thursday Classic is from the lovely artist Lauryn Hill. Ex-Factor was one of Lauryn’s singles from her 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Enjoy!
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis continue to top the charts with their hit single Thrift Shop feat. Wanz. If you like what you hear than you will definitely find their album The Heist enjoyable. The album receives a Good Music seal of approval.
